Tea Leaves Two
I've been in a bit of an artistic slump lately, and have done nothing since my autumn art classes ended in December. The holidays were busy and January was dark. But this month I was inspired by the reference photo for the February challenge at wetcanvas and had to give it a try.
Yesterday the weather was nasty, and my boss let me leave work a couple hours early, so after I had shoveled the snow I had some free time, and decided to try some art! The above is the product of about 45 minutes worth of work, and then I had to take a break and let it set for a bit. I may still work on it a bit more. But it's been so long since I have had something new to post here I figured I would just go do it. :-)

Wow, I really like it. It really looks like leaves floating in a liquid. The white crease around the edge of the leaves, where you can imagine the cohesion of the water dimpling under their weight, really makes the piece.
